Ministry Opportunities

During your two-week missions trip to the Philippines, you’ll have the chance to share Christ’s love in many exciting ways. We have three goals for our trip:

1) win souls for Christ,

2) support missionaries in their established ministries, and

3) see each team member develop a love for missions.

You’ll have the opportunity to work alongside veteran missionaries Tom & Jen Behman. Ministry opportunities include hosting Bible clubs and basketball clinics, promoting Christian school ministries, teaching in public schools, conducting visitations, and a medical clinic.

The Behman family have taken multiple missions trips to the Philippines since 2011 and it was during these trips that God called them to go as full- time church planting missionaries to the Philippines.

Field

Filipinos are naturally fun-loving, joyful people who love fellowship! And that’s a good thing since the tiny islands are filled with over 100 million people! Building relationships is an easy and enjoyable part of our ministry—especially with the dozens of children we get to meet at two orphanages.

The Filipino people are laid back, hospitable, generous, and kind. They will always make sure you have plenty to eat! As you develop relationships with them, you’ll find them easy to talk to and fun to be around.

History

In 2010, YOM sent its first missions team to the Philippines, led by Mr. Alex Fulfer. Since then, we’ve returned eight times to help missionaries Teddy and Ligaya Fulfer, Arvin and Ruth Tulabot, and Chris and Ivy Hurst in their ministries.
