The primary goal of this short-term missions trip is to expose team members to the various aspects of cross-cultural missions with an eye toward burdening members’ hearts to pray, to give, and to go serve as the Lord directs in their lives.
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
The world is a field ripe unto harvest. Many, while politically free, remain spiritually bound in many respects. There are great opportunities to “proclaim liberty to the captives,” (Luke 4:18) but the laborers are few.
A secondary goal is that team members be strengthened and matured in their faith as they seek to raise financial support, communicate their burden for missions, and become increasingly sensitive to fulfilling the Great Commission.
